SSC Napoli joined Juventus on 45 points in the race for European places in Serie A after recovering from conceding an early goal to beat La Vecchia Signora 3-1 at the San Paolo stadium.
Things looked to be going smoothly for the visitors after Alessandro Del Piero flicked on a free-kick to Giorgio Chiellini who gave Juve a seventh-minute lead, but Napoli did not cave in, and were deservedly level five minutes after the break when Fabio Quagliarella crossed for Marek Hamšík to score at the back post. The Slovakian international then returned the compliment, with his cross eluding goalkeeper Alex Manninger and offering Quagliarella an easy finish 18 minutes from time. Ezequiel Lavezzi made the points safe with a late third.
