Sevilla FC added a point to their pursuit of a top-four place in the Liga with a 1-1 draw against RC Deportivo La Coruña.
Sevilla, who could have moved to within a point of third-placed Valencia CF ahead of their trip to FC Barcelona on Sunday, took the lead against Depor after 21 minutes when Federico Fazio headed in Diego Perotti's free-kick. Their advantage lasted only three minutes, however, Adrián López drawing the visitors level with a close-range finish. Sevilla host PFC CSKA Moskva on Tuesday in their UEFA Champions League first knockout round decider having drawn 1-1 in Moscow.
RCD Mallorca remain just a place below Manuel Jiménez's side but saw their own hopes of European qualification take a severe blow with a 3-0 defeat at Getafe CF. Dani Parejo (32) and Miku (80) gave the hosts a two-goal cushion and Mallorca's miserable day was complete in the closing six minutes with the dismissal of Nunes and the conversion of a Manu del Moral penalty. Real Sporting de Gijón and Athletic Club played out a goalless draw in the day's other game.
