Milan keep Inter in their sights

AC Milan prepared for their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Manchester United FC with a 3-2 triumph over Udinese Calcio.

The resurgent Ronaldinho proved Milan's creator-in-chief in front of watching United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, taking just seven minutes to inspire his side into the lead with a cross from the right that Klaas Jan Huntelaar finished from close range. Ronaldinho took centre stage again six minutes before half-time with an exquisite first-time pass to fellow Brazilian Pato, who rounded Samir Handanovič and tapped into the empty net.

Just as the Rossoneri looked in total charge, Antonio Floro Flores handed the visitors a lifeline in first-half added time with a bullet header. Milan, however, restored their two-goal cushion on 57 minutes, Ronaldinho's free-kick dropping to Huntelaar, who spun inside the penalty area and finished with aplomb to register his fifth Serie A goal on just his sixth start this term. The league's top scorer, Antonio Di Natale, took his tally to 17 with four minutes left but Milan hung on for all three points. FC Internazionale Milano go to SSC Napoli on Sunday evening while AS Roma can return to second with a win against US Città di Palermo on Saturday.
