FC Internazionale Milano extended their lead over second-placed AS Roma at the top of Serie A to nine points by drawing their game in hand 1-1 at Parma FC.
Goran Pandev threatened several times for Inter in the first half of a match postponed due to snow on 31 January. It was Parma, however, who took the lead nine minutes after the break when Valeri Bozhinov bundled in his fifth league goal of the season after Júlio César had parried Cristian Zaccardo's volley into the path of the Bulgarian. José Mourinho responded by introducing Mario Balotelli as one of two substitutions and the Italian Under-21 international levelled moments later, driving in after a knock-down from Lucio. Parma, who have not won in seven, played the final 18 minutes with ten men after Francesco Valiani was sent off.
