Serie A high-flyers SSC Napoli have signed Italian international left-back Andrea Dossena from Liverpool FC for a reported fee of €5m on a contract until 2014.
'Amazing fans'
The 28-year-old former Hellas-Verona FC and Udinese Calcio player has made just five appearances in all competitions for the UEFA Europa League contenders this term and returns to Italy 18 months after moving to Anfield. "I'm happy to get this chance at Napoli," Dossena, capped ten times by the Azzurri, said. "I look forward to playing at the San Paolo because Napoli have amazing fans."
Voronin move
The Partenopei are fourth in Serie A and are unbeaten in the eleven league games since Walter Mazzarri replaced Roberto Donadoni as coach in early October. Also leaving Anfield is Ukraine striker Andriy Voronin, who is close to completing a move to FC Dinamo Moskva.
