The UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour, presented by UniCredit, continues to attract the fans, with the latest leg in Budapest proving to be a resounding success.

Hungarian tour
The Trophy Tour has been travelling through Europe, with legs in Milan, Zagreb and Bucharest prior to the stop in the Hungarian capital's Felvonulási Square. This time around, two famous names in former French international Christian Karembeu and Danish striking legend Allan Simonsen were on hand as ambassadors to meet and greet the public and media.

Healthy attendance
Some 9,200 people took the opportunity to get close to European club football's most prestigious trophy – the silverware that the world's greatest players want to win. Fans took some 3,000 photographs of the trophy, in addition to getting autographs from Karembeu and Simonsen.

Trophy Tour village
A popular attraction was the Trophy Tour village, featuring displays of memorabilia, pictures and films, all conveying the rich tradition of the European Champion Clubs' Cup and UEFA Champions League. Hungary's football fans showed great excitement about the Trophy Tour event, reflecting the country's pride at being represented by Debreceni VSC in this season's group stage. Debrecen players were present on Saturday to gain a taste of the event.

Next stop Sofia
The Trophy Tour, which is making its first appearance in Europe, now moves on to Prince Alexander of Battenberg Square in the Bulgarian capital Sofia on 17 and 18 October. These activities aim to give fans a truly memorable football experience by bringing them the magic of the European club game's most illustrious tournament.

Three-year partnership
This Trophy Tour also marks the start of a three-year partnership between UEFA and UniCredit Group as a sponsor of the UEFA Champions League.
