A late Bafétimbi Gomis strike saved Olympique Lyonnais from suffering their first defeat of the season, the French international clinching a 1-1 draw at Paris Saint-Germain FC to lift his side back up to second.

Giuly goal
PSG dominated from the start in the capital and came close to taking the lead when Hugo Lloris turned a Ceará free-kick on to the crossbar, with Aly Cissokho then keeping out Guillaume Hoarau's follow-up header courtesy of an acrobatic back-heel. A goal was not long in coming, though, and it fell to Ludovic Giuly, the unmarked former Lyon winger turning in from close range on 29 minutes. It was no more than the hosts deserved but they were denied victory towards the end when substitute Gomis buried a chance at the far post after Lisandro had headed on a Cissokho cross. Claude Puel's side now lie two points shy of leaders FC Girondins de Bordeaux, with PSG in seventh.

Toulouse success
Also on Sunday, UEFA Europa League hopefuls Toulouse FC earned their first win in four domestic outings by seeing off Le Mans UC 72 2-0, Étienne Didot breaking the deadlock on 26 minutes and Moussa Sissoko making sure of the points with just over 20 minutes remaining. Fellow UEFA Europa League side LOSC Lille Métropole needed an Adil Rami equaliser in the fourth minute of added time to stretch their unbeaten run to three games, Abdoulrazak Boukari having earlier put neighbours RC Lens in front in the Derby du Nord.
