NK Zrinjski have been crowned champions of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Premijer Liga for only the second time, and with a match to spare, despite losing 3-2 to NK Orašje.

Attacking mindset
FK Slavija Sarajevo were the only team able to deny Dragan Jović's team the title, yet they could only manage a 1-1 draw at FK Borac Banjaluka, leaving Zrinjski four points clear of FK Sloboda Tuzla and five clear of FK Sarajevo and Slavija. Champions in 2004/05 and cup winners last year, Zrinjski have led the table since the fifth round of matches, an attacking philosophy helping the Mostar club to the most victories and goals in the top flight this season.

Title 'desire'
"We have consistently played well," said Jović, whose side were knocked out of the cup by Slavija in the semi-finals. "Several times our opponents could have done better but a strong desire to win the title again helped us achieve our aim. It's only sad that we didn't manage to retain the cup." Zrinjski will enter the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League at the second qualifying round stage.
