Belgium forward Tom De Sutter has agreed to join RSC Anderlecht from KSV Cercle Brugge in January 2009, with the 23-year-old saying: "At Anderlecht I want to keep on developing my career. I want to prove myself."

Undisclosed fee
An undisclosed fee has been agreed for the four-times capped Belgian international who has signed a contract that will run from January 2009 to June 2013. His contract at Cercle, the club he joined from KM Torhout in 2006, was due to expire in 2012. De Sutter has scored 15 goals in 51 Belgian league games for Cercle but missed the chance to represent Belgium at this summer's Olympics after tearing ligaments in his right knee during an Under-21 fixture. He has scored twice in eight Eerste Klasse matches this season. De Sutter's first league appearance for last year's runners-up could, ironically, be against Cercle on 17 January.
