Greece's outside hopes of a play-off place evaporated in Athens as they were beaten for a fourth qualifier in succession, Serbia's victory condemning them to finishing bottom of Group 3 instead.
Dimitridević double
Serbia were the dominant side throughout the contest and had made the three points safe within 24 minutes after surging into a 3-0 lead. Selena Dimitridević registered twice in that period while the other scorer, Jovana Sretenović, added a fourth in the 76th minute before Sanja Malimić completed a resounding win in the 83rd. Greece's defeat means Slovenia now stand a good chance of reaching the play-offs as one of the best third-placed outfits.
