Inter sign Córdoba 'for life'

Colombian international defender Iván Córdoba has extended his contract with FC Internazionale Milano, committing to the Italian champions until June 2012.

"We can simply say it's for life because that is the point of this agreement and these are the sentiments tying me to Inter," the 31-year-old said after inking his new deal. Córdoba is working to recover from a knee injury sustained during the UEFA Champions League loss to Liverpool FC at Anfield in February. Córdoba joined the Nerazzurri in January 2000 from CA San Lorenzo de Almagro, and has since won three Serie A titles and two Italian Cups.
