Karl-Heinz Feldkamp has resigned as coach of Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray AS citing a "difference in point of view with the board".
Premature departure
The 73-year-old German had announced in March that he would step down at the end of the season and take up an administrative role but has now left his post prematurely along with assistant Ahmet Akcan. Feldkamp's position came under question after he missed a succession of games due to illness but despite this, Galatasaray are second in the league, five points behind leaders Fenerbahçe SK with a game in hand, and are also still in the Turkish Cup. Adnan Sezgin, the club's general manager, will be in charge of the team for Sunday's league match against Gençlerbirliği SK along with assistant coaches Burak Dilmen, Cevat Güler and goalkeeping coach Nezih Ali Boloğlu.
