Getafe CF reached the Copa del Rey final for the second season in a row after a 1-1 draw at Real Racing Club Santander sent the UEFA Cup quarter-finalists through 4-2 on aggregate.

Early goal
Protecting a 3-1 lead from the first leg at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez three weeks ago, Michael Laudrup's side fell behind to an early goal from Pedro Munitis after seven minutes. However, Racing's comeback hopes were dealt a blow when Óscar Serrano was sent off in the 75th minute and Casquero struck five minutes later to confirm the visitors' place in the final.

Home pressure
Racing put Getafe under sustained pressure from the off and were rewarded when Munitis converted from close range after Jorge López had drilled the ball across the face of goal. The hosts upped the tempo and went close on several occasions after the break but following Serrano's dismissal for a second bookable offence, Casquero – a scorer in the first leg – made it 1-1 on the night when he fired the ball high into the net. The second semi-final between Valencia CF and FC Barcelona concludes tomorrow.
