Team-mates reunited
The 29-year-old Baseggio has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with 'Les Hurlus', where his coach will be Scifo, formerly a team-mate at Anderlecht back in the 1990s. Capped 31 times for Belgium, Baseggio started his career in the youth department at Anderlecht and became a fans' favourite after breaking into the first team in 1996. He moved to Italian side Treviso FC in January 2006 before rejoining Anderlecht 12 months later, but has failed to see much action under Frank Vercauteren or his successor Ariël Jacobs since his return to Brussels. Eerste Klasse leaders Anderlecht meet FC Girondins de Bordeaux in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 on 13 and 21 February. Mouscron are 12th in the 18-team Belgian top flight.
