Transfer round up: Brazilian striker Grafite has joined VfL Wolfsburg for a reported €8m while Hannover 96 signed Werder Bremen's Christian Schulz.

With the transfer window closing at midnight on 31 August, uefa.com rounds up last-day signings involving clubs in the Bundesliga.

VfL Wolfsburg have signed Brazilian striker Grafite from French Ligue 1 side Le Mans UC 72 for a reported fee of €8m. The 28-year-old, who scored 12 times last term, passed a medical on Friday and signed a four-year-contract. Grafite has returned to France but is expected to go back to Germany for his first training session on Tuesday.

Werder Bremen left-back Christian Schulz has joined Bundesliga rivals Hannover 96 for €1.5m, signing a three-year contract with his new club. "Of course it's an emotional occasion but everyone will understand that I want to start something new," said the 24-year-old who came up through the ranks at Bremen. "I'm grateful to the club for letting me go."
