Mallorca loan
López, who has signed a four-year contract, originally moved to Barcelona in January 2005 from CA River Plate as cover for Henrik Larsson. However, the 23-year-old only made a handful of appearances before going to RCD Mallorca on loan last season. Linking up at Moskva with compatriots Héctor Andrés Bracamonte, Pablo César Barrientos and Maximiliano Nicolás Moralez, López was once stage River Plate's youngest ever goalscorer, a record now held by Javier Saviola. Moskva lie third in the Russian Premier-Liga, six points adrift of leaders FC Spartak Moskva but only one behind FC Zenit St. Petersburg.
