German youth international Christian Gentner is to go on loan from VfB Stuttgart to VfL Wolfsburg as he aims to establish himself as a Bundesliga regular.

German youth international Christian Gentner is to go on loan from VfB Stuttgart to rivals VfL Wolfsburg as he aims to establish himself as a Bundesliga regular.

Two-season deal
The 21-year-old midfielder has played 39 games for Stuttgart, scoring once, since making his debut back in the 2004/05 season. He has fluctuated between the club's reserve and first teams since then and will hope for more opportunities at Wolfsburg under Felix Magath, who has acquired his services for the next two seasons.
