Birmingham City FC have continued to strengthen their squad for their return to the Premier League by making their fourth signing of the summer, agreeing to pay Juventus €4.45m for attacking midfielder Olivier Kapo.

Auxerre breakthrough
The 27-year-old French international, who spent 2006/07 on loan in Spain with Levante UD, has penned a three-year contract with the English club, who have already brought in Fabrice Muamba, Stuart Parnaby and Garry O'Connor since winning promotion back to the top flight. Kapo made his name at AJ Auxerre, where he broke through in 1999 and whom he helped to win the French Cup four years later before moving on to Juve in 2004. He struggled to win a regular role in Turin, however, and loan spells back in France with AS Monaco FC and then in Spain at Levante followed before he opted to try his luck in England.
