Cazorla gets Villarreal recall

Midfielder Santi Cazorla has returned to UEFA Cup contenders Villarreal CF for a €1.2m fee after leaving the club for RC Recreativo de Huelva last summer.

Quick comeback
The 22-year-old signed a five-year contract at Recreativo at the end of the 2005/06 season having joined the Villarreal first team in 2003 after a spell with the reserves. He has now signed a new four-year contract with the Yellow Submarine after scoring four goals in 34 league appearances for Recreativo last season. Cazorla is Villarreal's fourth summer recruit following the arrivals of defenders Roberto Ayala and Joan Capdevila, and goalkeeper Diego López. Villarreal finished fifth in the Primera División to earn a place in the first round of the 2007/08 UEFA Cup.
