Starring role
The 23-year-old was presented with the award in a ceremony at the casino in Spa. The Congolese striker succeeds team-mate Mbark Boussoufa, who won the award last season while at KAA Gent. Tchité, nicknamed 'Memé', took the prize this season ahead of team-mate Ahmed Hassan and KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen striker François Sterchele. Tchité played a big part in Anderlecht's 29th title success this season, scoring 20 times to finish one goal behind Sterchele in the Belgian scorers ranking.
