R. Standard de Liège will meet Club Brugge KV in the Belgian Cup final after a 2-1 home win against RSC Anderlecht completed a 3-1 aggregate semi-final success.

Flying start
Already a goal to the good from the first leg, Standard forged ahead after just two minutes with Axel Witsel shooting low into the right side of the Anderlecht net. However, they were pegged back on 18 minutes as Dieumerci Mbokani pounced on a loose ball in the area to beat Olivier Renard in the Standard goal.

Goalkeeping error
Their confidence revived, Anderlecht headed forward in search of more goals but were undone after goalkeeper Daniel Zitka flattened Standard's Ricardo Sá Pinto in the area after mis-controlling a ball with his foot. Milan Jovanović converted the resulting penalty to set up a final date with Club Brugge on 26 May.
