Boavista FC have awarded coach Jaime Pacheco a new one-year contract keeping him in charge of the Portuguese Liga side until summer 2008.
Third coming
The 48-year-old, whose team finished tenth in the 16-club Liga, is in his third spell at the Estádio do Bessa having led Boavista to their first national title in 2000/01 as well as the UEFA Cup semi-finals - where they lost to Celtic FC - two seasons later. Pacheco then had a short stint at RCD Mallorca in Spain before returning to the Porto-based outfit and later taking the reins at Vitória SC in 2005/06. He rejoined Boavista last October, becoming their fourth coach in two months.
