Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht have made their first signing of the summer, agreeing a six-month contract with AD São Caetano midfielder Triguinho.

Anderlecht option
The 28-year-old Brazilian will join Anderlecht as they look towards securing a UEFA Champions League campaign via the third qualifying round in August. The left-sided midfielder has the option of a further two-and-a-half-year contract should his initial deal prove to be a success. "This transfer is the ideal chance for me to discover Europe," he said. "I want to succeed."

Barça memories
Triguinho has crossed the Atlantic before, joining FC Barcelona at the age of 21. "It was a huge honour that Barcelona came in for me," he remembered. "I had a one-year contract and played in the B team for the whole year. Although the contract was not extended then, it was a very positive experience." The player said his "speed, marking and good left foot" were his main strengths.
