The 30-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Breton club, whose coach Pierre Dréossi confirmed: "We have reached an agreement with Petter Hansson." Capped 22 times by Sweden, Hansson made his name with Halmstads BK before moving to Heerenveen in 2002, He has scored 14 goals in 162 Eredivisie games for the club, but said: "I felt it was time to move on. I dream of playing in the UEFA Champions League, and perhaps I can realise that dream with Rennes."
