FC Zenit St. Petersburg have extended the contracts of Russian internationals Andrei Arshavin and Aleksandr Anyukov while Igor Denisov has also agreed a new deal.

International experience
The 25-year-old Arshavin, who has scored seven goals in 22 games for his country, has put pen to paper on a contract running until the end of 2010. Having made his Zenit debut in 2000, the midfielder - who got Russia's goal in the 1-1 UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying draw against Israel last month - has subsequently struck 34 times in 178 Russian Premier-Liga matches, including six this season to help Zenit to fourth in the table with four rounds to play.

Three-year deals
Anyukov, meanwhile, arrived at Zenit in July 2005 from FC Krylya Sovetov Samara and swiftly established himself in the side, missing only one league game this season. The 24-year-old right-back has represented Russia on 19 occasions and has accepted a deal until 2009, as has Denisov. The 22-year-old has captained Russia in the current UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign and made his Zenit bow in 2002, claiming a regular role this term.
