López Caro races off to Levante

Members

Former Real Madrid CF coach Juan Ramón López Caro has left Real Racing Club Santander after little more than a month to take the helm of Levante UD.

Racing post
The 43-year-old is to sign a one-year contract with the option of a second term following a short and ill-starred stay at Real Racing Club Santander. López Caro, who was at the Madrid helm from December last year until the end of the 2005/06 season, was appointed Racing coach on 2 June but has now resigned that position, reportedly due to differences with the El Sardinero club's board. He will be assisted at Levante by José Maqueda and Pau Albertí.

Madrid highlights
The bulk of López Caro's coaching experience has been with Madrid's B team, although he led the seniors to second place in the Primera División and UEFA Champions League qualification in May. Levante, third in the second division, sacked their promotion-winning coach José Luis Oltra last month.
