The 30-year-old striker was out of contract at the Chaban-Delmas stadium next month but has today agreed a new one-year deal with the club he joined from FC Lorient in 2002. Darcheville, once of Nottingham Forest FC, scored eight goals in 34 games in the campaign just ended, and has made over a century of league appearances for Bordeaux. Ulrich Ramé, Julien Faubert and Lilian Laslandes had earlier signed contract extensions with the Girondins.
