English champions Chelsea FC have agreed a deal with Feyenoord which will take Ivory Coast striker Salomon Kalou to Stamford Bridge on a three-year contract.

Agreement reached
The two clubs have announced that they have reached an agreement on the player, with Kalou subsequently passing medical tests and agreeing personal terms before signing on the dotted line with the English champions. The striker made a huge impression at the Rotterdam club scoring 35 league goals in 67 appearances.

'Happy and proud'
However, the player admitted that he did not expect to be joining such a big side so early in his career. "I hadn't dreamed of joining such a big club as early as this," said Kalou. "I'm happy and proud that I will be able to tell my children and grandchildren that I played for clubs like Chelsea and Feyenoord."
