Pauleta punishes former friends

ESM Golden Shoe: Paris Saint-Germain FC striker Pauleta has moved up three places following a weekend hat-trick against his former club.

Paris Saint-Germain FC striker Pauleta has moved up three places to seventh in the ESM Golden Shoe standings following a hat-trick in a 3-1 win against his former club FC Girondins de Bordeaux. He has now hit 20 league goals in four of his seven seasons in Ligue 1, the other three times all coming with Bordeaux.

Buoyant Boyd
Rangers FC's Kris Boyd also scored a hat-trick, in a 4-1 success against Dundee United FC, but is outside the top ten due to the Scottish league's lower multiplier of 1.5. Premiership rivals Ruud van Nistelrooij and Thierry Henry both scored twice last week and lie in equal fourth position. Luca Toni extended his lead at the top to seven points after scoring his 26th league goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against AS Roma. That equals the ACF Fiorentina club record held by Gabriel Batistuta and Sweden's Kurt Hamrin.

*Season finished

Only the leading five countries (Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England) in the UEFA coefficient rankings have two as their multiplier. This is to emphasise the difference in international performance level between clubs from those countries and those from the other countries.
A player cannot first play in a summer league (eg. Norway) and then in a winter league (eg. Spain) and combine the points total for each season.
