European football's governing body said the case would deal with incidents of a racist nature, as well as the setting-off of fireworks by spectators. The case has been opened after UEFA received the official delegate's report, and the matter will be dealt with by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body at its next scheduled meeting on 18 August.
Liverpool win
Defending champions Liverpool won 3-1 in the first leg at the Vassil Levski stadium to boost their chances of reaching the competition proper. The second leg will take place at Anfield on 23 August.
