Members

FC Sochaux-Montbéliard have appointed former AC Ajaccio head coach Dominique Bijotat on a two-year contract.

Olympic gold
The 44-year-old former French international, who won Olympic gold in 1984 and eight senior caps, takes over from Guy Lacombe, who was dismissed on Tuesday. A club statement read: "Dominique Bijotat will be head coach for the next two seasons. He will be in charge from 11 July."

Ajaccio stint
Best associated with AS Monaco FC as a player, Bijotat coached Ajaccio for 15 months until September 2004. His predecessor at Sochaux, Lacombe, had a successful spell, finishing fifth in 2002/03 and 2003/04 and winning the French League Cup in the latter campaign. However, last term they ended tenth, missing out on Europe. Abdel Djaadaoui, who had taken over as caretaker, resumes his position as chief scout.
