The Muscovites have paid €3.3m to tempt the 21-year-old to the capital on a four-year contract. A product of the famous Smena football academy in St. Petersburg, Bystrov joined Zenit in 2001 and by 2003 was a regular. He went on to score six goals in 61 Premier-Liga matches and earn seven Russia caps. Spartak, who are second in the Russian top flight, are expected to recruit more players during the mid-season transfer window.
