Hope Powell, England coach
I am very disappointed, but I have to give massive credit to the girls. I think they worked hard, it was a tough game today. Sweden knew they had to get three points, they came at us, got a very early goal. They are a very good side, we always knew that. For us, unfortunately, we are out of it, but there is more to come. The fact the goal was early meant we knew we had a chance of coming back into it. We applied a lot of pressure, it was an entertaining game. We are bitterly disappointed, but we have to learn from it and move forward. They are capable of more, it's just a pity we are out and cannot show it. We proved here that we can compete against the very best in the world, so we move on.
Marika Domanski-Lyfors, Sweden coach
We have been a little bit lucky, because we had pressure on us for the whole game. But now we are through, I am very happy. We didn't expect to finish top, as I said anything could happen and anyone could finish top of this group - whether Denmark, England or now us. I think England fought all the time and played quite tactically. We knew England could come forward with everything they had, and they did, and I have a lot of admiration for everything they did. But we could have scored more from our chances, so it was a closely-fought game. We will now relax, it's good for our team. We have trained every day, but now they can have a day to relax and enjoy being in the semi-finals. Germany, Norway and France are all very good teams - it doesn't matter who we play.

The team is fantastic - the amount of work they've put in to compete at the top level is vast, you could not have asked for anything more from them. We beat Finland, but they are a good side, they gave us a good game, and they deserve to go through with Sweden. We can get a lot better obviously but there's no more I can say.
