I thought we seemed a little nervous in the first 20 minutes and it took a goal from Sweden to wake us up from our slumber. Our improvement was nothing to do with a change in tactics. We always knew the best way to play against Sweden. We played them recently and we know how to get at them and we eventually started to do that. I was very happy with our goal – it was superbly taken and I think it gave us a lot more confidence. In the second half we were probably the better side and our wingers really made their defence work very hard. Our system allows us to switch between 4-5-1 and 4-3-3 and I thought we looked like a talented attacking outfit in that second half. I was very happy with the result and our performance and I hope we can continue to grow as a team throughout the tournament.

In hindsight I am happy with the point. Denmark are a tough side to beat and we always believed they would be one of the toughest sides we would play in this tournament. They are very organised, they knew us well and I think they are a top, world-class team. We created enough chances to win the game and played some superb football in the first 20 minutes. I thought we could have gone 2-0 up but we didn't and they scored and got into the game a lot more. Our three central players did their best to get a good stranglehold on the midfield and I thought we did well. I think if we play like we did today against England and Finland we can qualify.
