The France team touched down in England yesterday and are gearing up for the start of UEFA WOMEN's EURO 2005™.
Getting ready
After an uneventful flight from Paris, the Group B contenders are settled in at their accommodation in Preston and having said a last goodbye to their families before their campaign starts with a game against Italy in four days time, Elisabeth Loisel's side are readying themselves for action.
Fond farewells
"After two days with our families [following the last training camp in France] we're ready to give everything we have," said midfield player Camille Abily. "We came to England for the 2003 [FIFA Women's] World Cup play-off but this is a totally different proposition," added centre-back Corinne Diacre.
Massive challenge
France face an enormous challenge if they are to progress to the last four of the tournament, as they share a group with tournament favourites Germany and highly-rated Norway, but they are ready to give it their best shot. "We are now eager to start the tournament," said midfield player Elodie Bussaglia.
