Despite clinching the Ligue 1 title last week, Olympique Lyonnais showed they are still in winning mood with a comfortable 5-1 victory at home against ten-man FC Girondins de Bordeaux on Sunday.
Riera opener
Still celebrating their fourth consecutive crown, Lyon's players had all coloured their hair in the club's colours, and when Bordeaux took the lead through Albert Riera on ten minutes, it looked like the festivities might have gone to their heads. They soon lifted their game, however, and Mickaël Essien hit the post before Florent Malouda equalised in the 24th minute.
Largest victory
Bordeaux were not helped by Cyril Rool's dismissal after half an hour, and four minutes later Brazilian centre-back Cris headed the home side in front. He added his team's third in added time at the end of the first half, and Lyon completed their largest league win of the season thanks to two strikes from Sidney Govou after the break.
Bordeaux nerves
Defeat for the visitors leaves them just three points above the drop zone, with two difficult games against AS Monaco FC and Olympique de Marseille still to come.
