Käld makes Finnish choice

Finland coach Michael Käld has named his 20-woman squad for the 2005 UEFA European Women's Championship.

Scotland defeat
Käld's side are the first senior Finnish team to qualify for a major international finals and they go into the eight-nation tournament on a high after defeating Scotland 2-0 in their final friendly on Friday, Laura Kalmari scoring twice.

England test
Finland play hosts England in their opening game in Group A on Sunday 5 June, before facing Sweden on 8 June and Denmark three days after that. "England haven't lost for a long time and I think it's an advantage to us," said Kald. "They will have all the pressure in the opening match in front of their home crowd.

'Everything to gain'
"Sweden are a team that are always at their best when needed," the Finland coach continued. "We have, however, already proved we can challenge them. A year ago, Denmark were possibly the best team in the world. We have nothing to lose and everything to win."
