Juventus FC bounced back from their UEFA Champions League elimination in midweek to move clear at the Serie A summit on Sunday thanks in part to a 5-2 home win against US Lecce.
Vucinic opener
Champions League semi-finalists AC Milan's surprise 2-1 defeat at AC Siena paved the way for the Bianconeri, helped by Zlatan Ibrahimovic's hat-trick, to move three points clear with seven games to play. But Fabio Capello's side had to come from behind to overcome Lecce after the visitors took an early lead through Mirko Vucinic's 12th goal of the season.
Ibrahimovic hat-trick
The Turin giants hit back strongly and levelled thanks to Stephen Appiah's first goal of the campaign before Ibrahimovic scored twice in quick succession before the break. Pavel Nedved added a fourth eleven minutes into the second-half and Ibrahimovic completed his hat-trick with eight minutes to play. A late penalty from Samuele Dalla Bona came too late to rescue Lecce.
Cozza decisive
Milan had seemed on course for a routine victory when Hernán Crespo scored 18 minutes into the second half but Enrico Chiesa soon drew Siena level and Francesco Cozza's goal four minutes from time sealed an unexpected win. Milan advanced to the Champions League semi-finals at the expense of city rivals FC Internazionale Milano in midweek but the Nerazzurri fared better on Sunday, defeating Cagliari Calcio 2-0 at the Giuseppe Meazza thanks to goals from Zé Maria and Obafemi Martins.
Rocchi winner
S.S. Lazio earned a crucial victory at Bologna FC to move seventh. The home side gained an early lead thanks to a free-kick from Federico Giunti but the Biancocelesti reacted well and snatched victory thanks to a penalty from Massimo Oddo and Tommaso Rocchi's 73rd-minute winner.
Lucarelli heroics
At the wrong end of the table, goals from Mattia Marchesetti and Federico Cossato gave AC Chievo Verona a crucial 2-0 win against UEFA Cup semi-finalists Parma FC, while Cristiano Lucarelli's unanswered double allowed AS Livorno Calcio to earn all three points against ACF Fiorentina in the Tuscany derby.
Late penalty
Fiorentina are now third from bottom, just two points clear of Brescia Calcio, who defeated Atalanta BC in the Lombardy derby thanks a last-gasp penalty from Luigi Di Biagio. Atalanta's Claudio Rivalta sent off during the frantic finale.
