Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin FC have parted company with coach Iyal Lahmin by mutual consent. The decision follows Friday's 4-0 defeat by bottom club Hapoel Haifa FC which leaves Sakhnin hovering just a place above the relegation zone, having taken one point from the last four matches. Lahmin guided the club to Israeli Cup success last May - in their first top-flight season - and they qualified for the UEFA Cup where they lost to Newcastle United FC in the first round.

Cyprus Football Association (CFA) president Costakis Koutsokoumnis has announced that the Cypriot football season will resume this week after a plan was put in place to solve the financial difficulties within the league. The CFA suspended all domestic football on 2 April but it will now restart with the second legs of the Cypriot Cup quarter-finals on 19/20 April, with the league programme recommencing on 23 April.
