Del Piero gives Juve the edge

Alessandro del Piero's second-half strike defeated Reggina Calcio and put Juventus FC back in pole position.

Juventus FC went three points clear at the top of Serie A on Saturday thanks to Alessandro Del Piero's winner against Reggina Calcio at the Delle Alpi stadium.

Ibrahimovic sparkles
Del Piero's left-foot strike came 20 minutes into the second-half after a clever back-heel from Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Earlier, a fine header from Ibrahimovic and a long-distance effort from Del Piero had both hit the crossbar.

Milan next
Juventus controlled possession for much of the game but Reggina had good opportunities to equalise, especially a late chance from Giandomenico Mesto. AC Milan will look to close the gap on their title rivals when they play AS Roma on Sunday night.

Siena victory
Earlier in the afternoon, AC Siena earned a crucial 1-0 win against S.S. Lazio to move out of the relegation zone. A solitary header from Croatia international Igor Tudor 15 minutes into the second-half was enough as Siena won a closely fought game.
