Transfer round-up: Latvia striker Andrejs Prohorenkovs has returned to Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC on loan.

Italian strugglers AC Siena have signed left-back Giovanni Pasquale on loan from FC Internazionale for the rest of the Serie A campaign. The 23-year-old has played four times in the league this season and twice in the UEFA Champions League. Pasquale becomes Siena's second recruit of the transfer window following the addition of striker Massimo Maccarone.

Danish outfit Odense BK have signed midfielder Lars Larsen on loan from Superliga rivals Randers FC, with the experienced Kenneth Møller Pedersen travelling in the opposite direction. The deal will run until the end of the season, when each club will have the option of a permanent transfer. The 26-year-old Larsen, who leaves second-from-bottom Randers for third-placed OB, said: "It is going to be an exciting spring season, as I will get the chance to play in one the league's top teams." The 31-year-old Møller Pedersen was happy to accept the switch, having fallen out of favour at OB.

Belgian side KSC Lokeren OV have signed Brazilian striker Roma and defender Saidou Madi Panadetigiuri. Roma, whose full name is Merabet Paulo Marcel Pereira, has agreed a contract until the end of the season with the option of a 12-month extension. The 25-year-old played in the Korean K-League with Chonbuk Motors in 2004. Meanwhile, the Burkina Faso-born Panadetigiuri arrives from FC Girondins de Bordeaux on a contract until summer 2008.

Belarussian midfielder Oleg Strakhanovich has joined Russian side FC Shinnik Yaroslavl from FC BATE Borisov. The 25-year-old scored 13 goals in 29 games for BATE last term to earn a move to the Premier-Liga team, where he will link up with compatriots Sergei Shtanyuk and Aleksandr Kulchiy.

Estonian champions FC Levadia Tallinn have landed former Lithuania Under-21 forward Martynas Karalius. The 24-year-old has agreed a two-year deal, although other details surrounding the transfer remain undisclosed. Karalius won the Lithuanian title with FBK Kaunas in 2003 before a loan move to FK Atlantas last season.

Scottish Premier League club Aberdeen FC have signed Australian goalkeeper Sasa Ilic on a short-term contract. The 32-year-old, a free agent, joins Aberdeen for a month to cover for injured No1 David Preece. Ilic, who recently had a spell with Blackpool FC in English's third tier, said: "I am looking forward to it. Aberdeen are really flying at the moment."

In a busy week of transfers in Israel, Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC have recruited Congolese international midfielders Ilongo Ngasanya and Mbala Lakuya Mbuta from DC Motema Pembe in their homeland. Belarussian striker Roman Vasilyuk has also joined Hapoel, who have allowed Brazilian midfielder Eduardo de Jesus Passos to move to local rivals Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC. Ghanaian forward Ishmael Addo, meanwhile, has left Maccabi, transferring to Greek side Ergotelis FC on loan.

Elsewhere, Hapoel Nazareth FC have acquired 22-year-old Argentinian striker Lisandro Sacripanti from AA Argentinos Juniors, Cameroonian striker Kalle Sone, 22, has joined Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin FC from SBV Vitesse, and Hapoel Petach-Tikva FC have bought 22-year-old Ukrainian Oleh Mozgovai.
