Savage joins Hughes at Blackburn

Uncertain future
After weeks of speculation about his future, Savage has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year contract at Ewood Park, having passed a medical. The 30-year-old links up with his old national team manager, Mark Hughes, at Blackburn. Former Leicester City FC player Savage joined Birmingham in May 2002, but has endured a mixed 2004/05 season and said he was keen to move closer to his family in north Wales.
