Demol dismissed
The 36-year-old former Romanian international has agreed an 18-month contract with the club, who dismissed Belgian coach Stephane Demol at the end of December. Dumitrescu has already spent a short time coaching in Greece, having led AEK Athens FC from January until June 2004.
Happy return
"I am very happy to return to Greek football and I can't wait to start coaching my new team," said the ex-FC Steaua Bucuresti and Tottenham Hotspur FC player. "It's a tough job ahead and fate has it that my first match will be against AEK, a team I know well and whose fans I respect a lot."
