Bonnal back
Bonnal was a free agent after leaving LOSC Lille Métropole in November and the 28-year-old has agreed a move back to the club where he started his career, on a short-term deal until the summer. Coach Rolland Courbis said: "Bonnal knows us perfectly and we know his abilities."
Striking additions
The Corsican team have also signed strikers Laurent Merlin and Olivier Fauconnier. Merlin, 20, joins on a two-and-a-half year contract after being released by Olympique de Marseille while Fauconnier, who arrives from Ligue 2 side SCO Angers, has inked a six-month deal with the option of a further two years.
'Brings us power'
While Courbis said the inexperienced Merlin would likely be confined to a substitute's role initially, he is hoping Fauconnier, who has impressed during a week's trial, "will bring us the power we've missed in our front line". Ajaccio are second from bottom of Ligue 1 and Courbis is expected to strengthen his squad further before the transfer window closes.
