The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia has received a mini-pitch as a Jubilee gift from UEFA. The mini-pitch has been constructed under the auspices of the UEFA HatTrick assistance programme.
Promoting football
Senior UEFA officials, including Executive Committee member Dr Viacheslav Koloskov, attended the ceremony to inaugurate the mini-pitch in Skopje. The President of the Football Federation of FYR of Macedonia, Mr Hari Hadzi-Risteski, said that this UEFA donation would be crucial in helping to promote football among young people.
Several projects
Hadzi-Risteski and his colleagues are working on several projects under the auspices of UEFA’s HatTrick programme, and aim to install another 40 French-manufactured mini-pitches by the middle of next year.
Golden Jubilee
UEFA's HatTrick Board has decided to offer a prototype mini-pitch, 21m long and 13m wide, to each UEFA member association, as European football's governing body celebrates its Golden Jubilee. The mini-pitch in question should be installed near to the association's headquarters and possibly close to, or on the premises of, a school.
