Article body
Sacked coach
Both players were signed by their compatriot Jaroslav Hrebík last January, but when the Czech coach lost his job at Dinamo this summer they fell out of favour. On Tuesday the pair jumped at the chance of a return to their homeland, agreeing two-year deals at the Strahov stadium.
Familiar face
Striker Vlcek, 28, scored 42 goals in 181 games for SK Sigma Olomouc before his transfer to Dinamo. Midfield player Zboncák, 29, who counts AC Sparta Praha among his former clubs, knows Slavia coach Josef Csaplár well after winning the Czech title with him at FC Slovan Liberec in 2002.
Departures
Midfield player Martin Lukes, meanwhile, has rejoined FC Baník Ostrava after failing to break into the first team at Slavia. Defender Martin Müller has also left, signing for FK Chmel Blšany.
