Article body
Slim chance
The 29-year-old scored twice in 24 SuperLiga matches last season as the Dragons retained their Portuguese title and was on the bench as José Mourinho's side won the UEFA Champions League. With Porto having signed Ricardo Quaresma and Hélder Postiga this summer, however, his chances of a regular run in the team under new coach Víctor Fernández appeared slim.
National hero
A national hero in his homeland, Jankauskas became the most expensive Lithuanian player ever when Real Sociedad de Fútbol paid Club Brugge KV €2.3m for his services in January 2000. Nice are currently second from bottom of Ligue 1, with no wins from four games.
