Jiránek joins from Italian club Reggina Calcio where he spent the last four seasons. The 25-year-old right-back, who made four appearances for the Czech Republic at UEFA EURO 2004™, was a Czech Cup winner with FC Slovan Liberec in 2000 before he moved on to Reggina.
Timely arrival
Jiránek's arrival could not have come sooner for a struggling Lokomotiv side who sit third from bottom of the Premier-Liga at present. Spartak are also reportedly close to signing CA Boca Juniors defender Clemente Rodríguez and CA River Plate forward Fernando Cavenaghi.
