Serie A newcomers US Città di Palermo have announced the signing of former Argentinian youth international striker Ernesto Antonio Fariàs from CA Estudiantes La Plata for a reported fee of €5 million.
Four-year contract
The 24-year-old Fariàs scored 94 goals in 205 league games with the Argentinian side, including 17 in 200304. He has signed a four-year contract, having spent his entire career with Estudiantes.
Serie A return
Palermo gained promotion last season by finishing as Serie B champions. It is the Sicilian side’s first time in the top flight for 32 years.
