The 57-year-old Zeman made his name during the late 1980s and early 1990s when he led minnows Foggia Calcio to Serie A. He later coached S.S. Lazio and AS Roma and also had a spell in Turkey with Fenerbahçe SK. He spent last season at the helm of Avellino Calcio in Serie B, but could not steer them away from relegation
Deserved home
Lecce director of sport Pantaleo Corvino said the club were delighted with to secure his services having terminated Delio Rossi's contract last month. "It's an honour to welcome back to Serie A a coach that clearly deserves to work at the top level," Corvino said . "I think that he will help us remain in Serie A with his good work ethic, experience and ability."
